The popularity of the bob haircut shows no signs of slowing down, as demonstrated at the 2025 Brit Awards. Here are some of our top looks from the red carpet.

Girl power had a marked stamp on last night’s BRIT Awards at the o2 arena – and we couldn’t get enough of the brilliant fashion and beauty looks that were shown off on the red carpet.

From Jade Thirlwall thanking her Little Mix sisters in her first solo BRIT Award acceptance speech to Charli XCX bidding that we all “free the nipple,” it was a night rooted in sisterhood, friendship and allyship.

Of the bands in attendance, from the Sugababes to FLO and The Last Dinner Party, we spotted an emerging trend – the bob is back. Though Sabrina Carpenter may have kicked off the night with her most fun performance yet and hair for days – and the likes of Charli XCX and Jade Thirlwall were seen sporting princess-inspired locks – it was styled bobs that caught our attention on the red carpet. Some of Stylist’s favourite looks included sleek, styled haircuts that showed just how elegant the bob can be. We also loved the square bobs that were on show, proving very clearly that blunt cuts are set to be a style that will dominate next season…

5 of the best bobs at the 2025 BRIT awards

Keisha Buchanan

Keisha Buchanan of Sugababes

Buchanan’s bob was as classy as her camaraderie last night, touching our hearts as she got excited to present Jade Thirlwall her award. She kept her blunt, chin length bob super sleek and parted in the centre. To mix things up a little and give her whole look a 90s twist, she took a small section from the front of her hair and created a sharp curl in the centre of her forehead.

Jorja Douglas

Jorja Douglas of FLO

Douglas softened her blunt, chin-length cut by sweeping away her front sections and leaving some face framing strands around her eyes. She pulled the centre of her hair into braids, knotting them at the tip of the head to create a Y2K inspired beauty look.

Aurora Nishevci

Aurora Nishevci of The Last Dinner Party

Nishevci showed us a softer styling of her bob, sitting just below her chin and with some shorter face framing sections at the front. She kept her hair fresh and beachy with soft, subtle waves, but her sharper ends meant that the look still felt quite bold. The spirit of this soft and strong union was mirrored in the band’s acceptance speech, when Georgia Davies used their big moment to advocate for independent music venues and artists.

Lizzie Mayland

Lizzie Mayland of The Last Dinner Party

Since Emma Stone debuted her pixie crop at the Golden Globes earlier this year, we’ve noticed more and more red carpet looks are embracing the chop. Mayland merged the best of both worlds, flicking out the ends of their chin length bob last night, but cropping their fringe and trimming mid-length sideburns to create a blocked, mod-reminiscent shape.

Uma Jammeh

TV personality Uma Jammeh opted for a shoulder-skimming bob that offered plenty of volume. Complete with a sweeping side fringe and paired with a classic make-up look, the star looked red carpet-ready.
