An artist has envisioned what the women of Disney might look like in real life and the result is beautiful.
The series sees Belle, Aurora, Cinderella and many other Disney female heroines re-imagined as real humans through photo-manipulation and digital painting.
Helinski-based artist and graphic designer Jirka Väätäinen began the series by re-envisioning The Little Mermaid's Ursula in April 2011 while studying graphic design at the Arts University College at Bournemouth.
"I decided to entertain myself by Photoshopping together a "real life" version of my favourite Disney villain, Ursula," wrote Väätäinen on his blog.
Soon his blog attracted thousands of visitors every day and he decided to continue his 'real-life' Disney works, one character at a time.
Over the last three years, Väätäinen transformed 17 Disney characters, his latest being Wendy from Peter Pan.
Take a look at Väätäinen's 'Real Life' Disney Girls series below:
Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Aurora from Sleeping Beauty
