As we prep our wardrobes and skin for spring, there’s one nail colour that’s going to be everywhere this season.
With spring imminent, it’s time to get out of our dark and gloomy winter-hues rut and embrace a brighter nail shade. Now, we know what you’re thinking: Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. But I’m pleased to report it’s neither floral nor pastel. A traditional springtime nail shade, this is not.
The unlikely nail colour we’re expecting to see everywhere is taking inspiration from our must-have wardrobe essential. That’s right, denim nails are going to be the It mani shade for the season.
It’s a far cry from the minimalist ‘your nails but better’ soap manicure we’ve seen across social media or the chic jade-green shade that was trending at the beginning of this year.
The hue suits all skin tones and has even been approved by Selena Gomez, who was seen sporting a dark denim nail shade in the music video for her song Call Me When You Break Up. Need we say more?
Not the pastel blue we’re used to seeing at this time of year, this trend is taking inspiration from a whole heap of denim.
Whether it’s trending indigo, a light jean or acid wash, there’s a whole colour spectrum to pick from to find the right blue for you. Yes, we’re beating the winter blues with… blue.
