It’s no real secret that the beauty team at Stylist are massively into their nail trends. From milk bath nails to nail art stickers – a playful manicure is an easy, inclusive and expressive way to have fun with beauty. So it’s no surprise that when we discovered blueberry milk nails’ were gaining traction on social media, we were all ears. 

“Blueberry milk nails are taking over the nail world right now, offering a dreamy manicure that captures the essence of relaxation and tranquillity,” explains Juanita Huber-Millet, founder and creative director at Townhouse. “The soft pastel blues combined with creamy undertones create a refreshing summer look.” 

In fact, the colour trend is so popular right now that Lookfantastic reports that ‘blueberry milk nails’ is a breakout search term on Google, with searches increasing by a massive 294% over the past month. 

An updated version of the well-loved milk bath nail trend, blueberry milk nails have the same creamy base but with an updated baby blue hue. Unlike traditional pastel blue shades that could look flat, the blueberry milk trend has a creamier undertone to it – making it a lot more wearable on all skin tones. 

In fact, Dua Lipa, Sofia Richie Grainge and Zendaya have all been spotted sporting the look. 

If you’re wanting to get in on the trend, there are a few different ways to do it. 

“One of my favourite blue hues to recreate this look in-salon is Forget Me Not by The Gel Bottle,” explains Huber-Millet. You could also add some nail art to create your own spin on the trend. 

“Add a touch of whimsy with delicate floral nail art to elevate the summery vibe or try blueberry French tips,” suggests Huber-Millet. “Paint the tips in a rich blueberry hue against a creamy base. 

An easy way to make the trend seem more unique is to opt for a matte topcoat. “This velvety finish will enhance the dreamy and soft appearance of your blueberry milk manicure.”
