Ever wondered what the best bodycare products are to shop for summer? From in-shower scrubs to soothing serums, here are the top items for some TLC in the sunny weather, according to a beauty expert…
As a beauty journalist, it’s my job to test and trial countless skincare products, but even I sometimes neglect the skin on my body if it’s not on my face. However, over the past couple of years, I’ve made a conscious effort to prioritise my bodycare routine. Plus, spending a few minutes every day giving my body some TLC has not only benefited my skin, it’s also helped to improve my own relationship with my body image.
While there are hero products that I can’t stop talking about (like the recent instant tan I recently raved about), it’s those everyday bodycare essentials that truly make me feel my best all summer long. From banishing body breakouts to ensuring silky smooth skin, here are the 10 summer bodycare products I’m currently loving…
Megababe Space Bar Detoxifying Charcoal Underarm Bar
If sweaty summer days are a worry, this detoxifying underarm bar is brilliant. Formulated with charcoal, it helps to keep odour at bay and leaves underarms feeling fresh and clean. Its purifying properties are also great for nixing body acne, leaving your skin clean and clear.
Shop Megababe Space Bar Detoxifying Charcoal Underarm Bar at Cult Beauty, £6.50
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Shimmering Multi Purpose Dry Oil
I don’t think there’s been a summer in the past five years when I haven’t used this cult product. Not only does it instantly hydrate and nourish skin, it adds a subtle shimmer and radiance while smelling like a summer holiday in a bottle. I’m obsessed.
Shop Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Shimmering Multi Purpose Dry Oil at Lookfantastic, £33
Coco & Eve Triple Action Resurfacing Body Gel Scrub
This brand-new body scrub is an absolute game-changer for smooth summer skin. The gel formula combines a blend of AHAs, BHAs and PHAs to gently exfoliate your skin, while microbiome technology leaves skin smooth and glowing. I’ve been using it twice a week to keep my skin polished and to scrub away any old fake tan.

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 0.5% Body Serum
Another brilliant new launch is this salicylic acid serum from The Ordinary. It’s perfect for softening areas of rough skin – eg the elbows, knees and ankles – and helps to unblock clogged pores, like on your chest and back.
Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash
I’m a big fan of Naturium’s body products for two reasons: 1) their XXL size and 2) their efficacy. Combining the benefits of an oil cleanser and a hydrating wash, this multi-oil formula leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and moisturised. It’s ideal for those days when my skin needs an extra boost of hydration.

Kopari Beauty Sunglaze Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen SPF30
This unique body mist really is a summer must-have. Part body shimmer, part SPF, it not only drenches your skin in cooling hydration but leaves your body with a subtle sheen that glistens in the sunshine. The refreshing formula is enriched with brightening vitamin C, hydrating hyaluronic acid and antioxidant-rich vitamin E, leaving your skin soft, hydrated and protected.

Byoma Sensitive Body Wash
If you have sensitive skin, it can be tricky to find bodycare products that will soothe and nourish your skin without exacerbating flare-ups. This gentle body wash is great for anyone suffering from bouts of dermatitis, psoriasis and eczema. The creamy, sulphate-free formula cleanses, smooths and soothes skin while effectively supporting the skin barrier and microbiome.
Caudalie Vinosun Very High Protection Water SPF50
While we all know that SPF is a must, if you struggle to find a formula that you like, try this hydrating water from Caudalie. It’s my go-to when I don’t want to feel as though I’m wearing any SPF. The formula is so lightweight, it feels invisible on your skin.
Shop Caudalie Vinosun Very High Protection Water SPF50 at Boots, £32
Isle of Paradise Brilliantly Bright Body Moisturiser
Cult tanning brand Isle of Paradise has recently branched out into bodycare, and the body moisturiser is nothing short of brilliant. Infused with a blend of brightening ingredients, it not only hydrates but also enhances the skin’s glowy radiance. I’ve been using it daily to maintain healthy-looking skin, and its lightweight texture makes it perfect for summer.
Shop Isle of Paradise Exclusive Brilliantly Bright Body Moisturiser at Lookfantastic, £15
Gatineau Golden Glow Gradual Tan Cream
While I’m an all-year-round fake tanner, if you’re looking for a little extra help in the glow department, this gradual tan is great. It imparts just a touch of bronze into your skin while looking seriously natural.
