When it comes to body care, people usually fall into two camps: those who wouldn’t dream of scrimping on their body lotion and those who can’t remember the last time they moisturised. But there’s really something to be said for those days when you spend time indulging in your ‘everything shower’ and applying moisturiser from top-to-toe.
For me, it feels weirdly meditative. I’m definitely someone who falls into the lazy camp when it comes to body care, but this year I’ve really tried to spend more time intentionally treating the skin on my body as I would the skin on my face. Like a lot of us, I have a complicated relationship when it comes to my body image, but I’ve found that the more time I spend caring for the skin on my body, the more connected to it and the better I feel about it.
But no matter how intentional you try to be at showing your skin some top-to-toe love, if your body moisturiser is sticky, heavy or greasy, you’re unlikely to keep up the routine.
