The vibrant flavour and muted colour has had fashion and food afficionados hooked all year, but pistachio fragrances are the latest step on this unsung nut’s rise to trending domination. It’s been present in a select few cult perfumes for years (looking at you, Tom Ford Eau de Soleil), but it’s made a major move into the spotlight thanks, in part, to the rise of gourmand fragrances – scents that typically include notes of edible, often sweet, ingredients such as vanilla, honey and caramel.
As creamy as vanilla but with slightly more scope for versatility, it’s a grounding note that adds a dose of nostalgic fun to every fragrance it’s woven into.
