Why you need to incorporate pineapple into your beauty routine, ASAP

Heralded for its exfoliating properties, pineapple is fast becoming skincare’s new wonder ingredient.

Usually associated with upside-down cakes and piña coladas, the pineapple is now being celebrated for its skincare benefits.

Extracts from the tropical fruit are increasingly cropping up on ingredients lists, thanks to its ability to resurface rough or uneven skin.

“Pineapple extracts contain a mix of enzymes called bromelain, which gently exfoliates but also has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits,” explains dermatologist Dr Stefanie Williams.

Here, Stylist picks the pineapple products concocted to give your skin a refreshing overhaul.
