Body moisturising is a pain at the best of times, but especially so in winter. We promise these products will make it more enjoyable.
We all know the importance of regularly using body cream. Granted, it’s only something I started doing properly a couple of years ago, but I genuinely haven’t looked back since. I often wonder why it took me so long to start – mostly because my elbows have never been so smooth.
I get it, though. Despite the fact that winter is the most important time of year to keep up the body moisturising habit, it’s also the hardest: when you get out of the shower, the last thing you want to be doing is slathering cold cream on and then hanging about waiting for it to sink in.
But, annoyingly, the combination of cold weather and central heating means skin is zapped of any and all moisture, and so making time to reinject it with some hydration is more important than ever.
So, to make things easier, I’m going to share with you my tried-and-tested body creams that not only promise to nourish skin but also absorb quickly and don’t leave any residue, meaning you can smother them on and then get dressed straight away. Some of them even smell so good that you won’t want to skip them.

Dove Body Love Essential Care Body Lotion
Cheap and very cheerful, I’ve been so impressed with this affordable body lotion. It’s packed with ceramide-boosting technology and probiotics, it’s not sticky or greasy and it honestly gives some of its more expensive counterparts a run for their money.

Moroccanoil Body Souffle
Anybody who knows me will be aware of how much I love the Morrocanoil shower gel, but I hadn’t tried this body souffle until it was recommended to me by a friend. It smells incredible – exactly like the brand’s OG hair oil – and I love how rich and hydrating the formula is, but despite being on the thicker side, it still feels lightweight and absorbs instantly.
Naturium Bio-Lipid Body Lotion
I don’t think I will ever be over the size v price of these body lotions (this bottle is an impressive 414ml). Naturium is a brand that is continually impressing me, and this body lotion is seriously one of the best. It’s fuss-free, is unscented and is packed with shea butter and omega fatty acids to help support and restore the skin barrier
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter
This is the product that got me into the habit of using body cream regularly, and it’s one I always recommend. It’s definitely better for skin that’s on the drier side, but it’s super nourishing, I love the subtle shea scent it has, and it just leaves me feeling silky soft. It’s genuinely just such a lovely product to use.
