Each month, Stylist’s beauty team discover a bevy of new beauty launches. But which ones are good enough to gain a spot in their bathroom cabinets? Find out below.
Now that autumn is well and truly upon us, a new wave of seasonal beauty treasures have landed upon the Stylist beauty desk. In the run-up to the festive season, make-up is becoming more luxurious, skincare more nourishing and the cosy Christmas candles are out in full force.
My job as a beauty editor means I’m often sent a lot of these new launches to try – and only the very best earn a place in my beauty stash. From the amino-acid packed cleanser that leaves your skin soft and supple to the gingerbread inspired candle that fills your home with all the festive vibes, there have been more than a few notable new arrivals this month and my beauty bag is overflowing.
So whether you’re in the market for some new make-up, want some early Christmas present inspo or are simply browsing the best beauty has to offer, you’ve come to the right place. Below, I round up my favourite 10 beauty products that launched in October 2023…
Bobbi Brown City Glamour 12 Well Eyeshadow Palette
Each year, Bobbi Brown’s limited edition festive eyeshadow palettes are the stuff of dreams and 2023’s doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. Perfect as a gift or treat for yourself, this 12-pan palette contains warm golden tones that are buttery and elegant on the skin.

Oribe Desertland Candle
We all know that Oribe do luxury haircare like no other, but it’s their latest homeware collection that I’m obsessed with. Including all your bathroom essentials – an elegant soap bar, delectable incense and this divine glass candle – it transforms your bathroom into a true spa-like experience.
Jones Road Fragrance - Shower
Jones Road’s first foray into fragrance is a special one. Designed to smell as good as a shower feels, it’s light, clean and linen-like – perfect for everyday spritzing.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Cleansing Gelée
Packed with 15 amino acids naturally found in your skin’s protective layers, this cleansing jelly is as nourishing as it is hardworking. It expertly washes away make-up and impurities (including waterproof and longwear formulas), without stripping or disturbing the moisture barrier or acid mantle. Skin is left soft, hydrated, plump and happy – bingo.
Shop Estée Lauder Advanced Night Cleansing Gelée at Boots, £34
Jo Malone London Ginger Biscuit Home Candle
Dare we say it: the Christmas countdown is on, and Jo Malone’s festive fragrance collection for 2023 is here. This year, it’s all about gingerbread. Warming ginger and cinnamon melt into caramel and roasted hazelnuts for a comforting, wholesome and truly irresistible just-baked spiced biscuit scent.
Clinique High Impact High-Fi Full Volume Mascara
If you’re in the market for a new mascara, let me present a new favourite of mine. Formulated with multi-dimensional fibres, it piles on length and volume without clumping, for a fluffy, fanned-out effect.
Shop Clinique High Impact High-Fi Full Volume Mascara at Lookfantastic, £27
Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino ’97
If the Beckham Netflix documentary has had you as obsessed with Victoria Beckham as me this month, you’ve likely seen her new collection of fragrances all over social media. Inspired by her first encounter with David Beckham in 1997, the Portofino ’97 eau de parfum aims to reinterpret that buzzing energy of first falling in love. Opening with sweet bergamot and grapefruit, this soft fragrance gives way to a heart of fresh bamboo before closing with notes of crisp amber. It’s truly addictive.
Shop Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino ’97 eau de parfum at Selfridges, £170
Nudestix Nudies Matte and Glow Core All Over Face Blush Colour
For beautiful skin in one effortless swipe, this little beauty is your new glow-giver. It’s a unique hydrating balm that’s encased in a matte blush. Packed with hydrating ceramides to encourage a plumped, radiant appearance, it can be applied to both the cheeks and lips for a full face of autumn flushed skin.

Tatcha The Serum Stick
This genius serum stick is a game-changer for on-the-go hydration. Formulated with all-natural squalane, this serum stick glides on easily with a weightless feel to moisturise the skin and strengthen the skin barrier. Apply on clean skin for an instant hit of nourishment, or over make-up to add a dewy, radiant finish.
Rose Inc Softlight Skin-Smoothing Liquid Foundation
I’m a big fan of Rose Inc’s Tinted Serum, but for a little more coverage, this new iteration is perfect. It’s enriched with ectoin, which works to calm areas of irritation, replenish moisture and keep the skin feeling comfortably hydrated. Apply one layer for a soft and sheer finish or layer for more buildable coverage.
Shop Rose Inc Softlight Skin-Smoothing Liquid Foundation at Space NK, £42
