This is, hands down, the best perfume I have ever smelt. Back in 2018, I didn’t understand the concept of a ‘signature scent’ (it felt far too committal), but when this came across my desk all those years ago, I couldn’t stop using it. Musky and complex, it has notes of iris, ambrette and pink peppercorns for a gorgeous cottony and comforting scent. So, I was thrilled to see the bottle get a limited edition spruce-up for Christmas: the label is printed with a liquid-like gold finish to give it extra sparkle on your vanity table.

Brows are always the first step in my make-up routine. Once they’re done, I find it a lot easier to create a beauty look around them. These Rhode Peptide Lip Tints are so popular that this year saw them earn their own phone cases for top-ups on the go (another item on my wishlist, FYI). One of my favourite discoveries this year has been Morphe’s Molten Metal Eyeshadows. Highly pigmented, with amazing colour payoff and an easy way to create a multidimensional eye (depending on whether you apply it wet or dry), these foil-effect shadows really elevate any beauty look. So, I was thrilled to see that two gorgeous pink shades have been included in this eyeshadow palette, alongside four very wearable matte shadows. I know I’d get so much use out of this.

In an attempt to break the habit of ‘saving’ nicer products for special occasions, I’ve been indulging in fancy hand washes and body gels, and this one looks perfect. Scented with Penhaligon’s iconic Halfeti scent (think spicy and warm notes of oud, bergamot and rose), it’ll make a special addition to any sink or shower. Plus, I love the little pump.

OK, OK; I couldn’t resist adding another candle to the list, especially when it smells of panettone. Yep, Acqua di Parma has captured the traditional Milanese festive dessert in a candle. Brace yourselves: Chanel has created a purse for your mini N°5 perfume. Yes, the fashion house has levelled up its iconic fragrance by creating a chic black or white case to house it in. As somebody who has always set their undereye concealer with a brush, this year taught me just how much of a difference it makes to use a powder puff. This duo from Huda Beauty handily includes two sizes: a medium for all-over use, and a mini size for smaller areas. Simply dip the edge in powder, pat it on skin and watch how much of a difference the soft material makes. It’s also a handy tool to blend out any creased foundation or concealer throughout the cake without disrupting the rest of your make-up too much.

This is my favourite hairbrush of all time, but after years of use, I finally had to part ways with it. It gently detangles hair (both wet and dry) without breaking it and the soft bristles are brilliant at brushing back and smoothing down hair when creating a ponytail. I’m also convinced that it really does leave my hair looking shinier any time I use it.

OK, technically this isn’t a beauty product, but it is incredible merch from a beauty brand and therefore counts, in my opinion. Every year, Glossier puts a festive spin on its classic hoodie (the very first pink iteration is still a staple in my wardrobe) and for 2024, it comes in a gorgeous burgundy red. As if that wasn’t enough, it also has satin drawstrings, giving it a sweet feminine touch that I love.
