Each month, Stylist’s beauty director discovers an array of new launches across skincare, haircare, fragrance and make-up. These are the ones she keeps going back to.
We’re finally here. The Christmas trees are up, the advent calendar doors have begun to get ripped open and roast dinners are almost a daily staple at this point. But as we get excited for the 25th, the arrival of December means looking back at all of the brilliant beauty products that launched in November.
Understandably, the month often sees an array of gorgeous gift sets, stocking fillers and beauty baubles filling the shelves, as well as cosy candles and long-wearing make-up. But amongst the festive fare, there were also numerous beauty launches to help you along the way, including an all-over body serum designed to keep skin smooth, a hydrating lip oil that delivers a sheer tint and a dry shampoo to keep your hair fresh for the days in-between.
Here, I’ve rounded up the beauty products I loved using throughout November and will continue to use in the run-up to Christmas. It may even spark some gifting inspiration (or, check out my beauty Christmas wishlist for some ideas)…
New products our beauty director couldn’t stop using in November
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Mon Beau Sapin
Whether you’re looking to boost the smell of your Christmas tree or (like me) opt for a fake one and want to bring the refreshing scent into your home, this candle is perfect. Inside the porcelain jar (which has been decorated in homage to the brand’s store in Paris), you’ll find woody notes inspired by the comforting feeling of a walk in a snowy forest.

Hello Klean Rain Shower Filter
Ever since moving, the constant build-up of limescale in my shower has seen me become best friends with Viakal. So, I was thrilled to see that Hello Klean had released a rain shower version of its popular shower filters. It works hard to counteract the drying and irritating effects of hard water. Plus, it’s super easy to install.
Rhode Barrier Butter
After hearing Jamie Genevieve recommend this at Stylist Live, I dug this out of the beauty cupboard, and I’m pleased to say it lives up to the hype. A firm favourite now in my nighttime routine, I apply it after moisturiser to help soothe any dry, tight areas of my face. When I wake up, my skin feels softer and more hydrated and looks a lot pumper.
Nars Gold Rush Eyeshadow
What would the festive season be without some seriously intense shimmer? Every year, Nars’s Christmas collection is one of my favourites, thanks to its impressive formulas and beautiful packaging, and this year is no different. The standout is this eyeshadow, which resulted in a genuine gasp when I first swatched it. It has seriously rich pigment while the shadow itself is a blend of shimmer, glitter and pearls to reflect the light.
K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo
A busier diary means I’m trying to eke out hair wash days as much as possible, so dry shampoo is essential to my routine. While traditional formulas can leave scalps dry, irritated and itchy, clever hair brands have made a conscious effort to avoid that. It contains translucent microbeads that act as a sponge for excess oil without drying it out. Interestingly, it comes as a spray rather than an aerosol, so if you’re used to the latter, it may take some getting used to. Once applied, massage it into your scalp and watch as signs of oil lessen and roots even get a bit more lift.

Mantle The Miracle Fluid
The sudden drop in temperature has left my body feeling drier so I’ve been upping my bodycare routine, and this has quickly become a standout in the line-up. Inspired by its popular The Miracle Mask, Mantle set out to create a formula that delivers the same skin-smoothing effects. Formulated with exfoliating mandelic and lactobionic acid, it sloughs away dead skin cells without irritation, while hyaluronic acid, panthenol and vitamin E keep skin hydrated and soothed. Pair it with a rich body cream and your skin will feel incredibly soft.
Malin+Goetz 'Make It A Double' gift set
OK, this is a gift set but it’s a really good one. If you’re a fan of Malin+Goetz’s Rum scent, you’ll be happy to hear that the bestselling Hand + Body Wash and Body Lotion are available in a set. Create the most indulgent shower and post-shower skin routine with this duo. Plus, your bathroom will smell incredible, too.

Beauty Pie Fir Balsam, Sandalwood & Sweet Orange
I know, it’s another candle, but ’tis the season. Beauty Pie always releases an incredible line-up of festive candles (Hot Chocolate and Peppermint will forever hold a place in my heart). This year, my favourite is Fir Balsam, Sandalwood & Sweet Orange – the perfect cosy and warm scent. If you’ve been considering getting one, be quick; it’s already sold out once.

RMS Beauty Legendary Lip Oil
As a perennial sufferer of dry lips, the cold weather only exacerbates this. And while I love a bright lipstick for a Christmas dinner, I much prefer tinted lip oil for day-to-day wear. This RMS formula strikes the perfect balance of nourishing and soothing while also delivering a sheer was of colour. My favourite is Milla (pictured), a deep plum that’s perfect for this time of year.
Shark CryoGlow Mask
Expanding its impressive line-up in beauty tech, Shark has unveiled its first foray into LED masks with CryoGlow. The innovation comes with four impressive modes, including one to target the under-eye area and another to help treat blemishes. The remote screen also provides information on which regimes you’ve ticked off to help you track your progress.
Tom Ford Soleil Neige Eau de Parfum
With notes of bergamot, jasmine flower and lemon, Tom Ford’s latest scent was created to capture the refreshing feeling of crisp air in the snow. It’s the perfect all-rounder scent for a festive party, pub lunch or special dinner.
Shop Tom Ford Soleil Neige Eau de Parfum at Lookfantastic, £222 for 50ml
Glossier Chrome Beauty Bag
Whether you’re planning a festive trip away, commuting back home or just want to bring some joy to your make-up routine, this limited-edition Glossier bag is perfect. I’ve used the pink and red version for years, and now the buzzy brand has released a beautiful chrome version. It has the same snap-button interior pouch that can handily be taken out, while multiple pockets help keep everything organised.
