Each month, Stylist’s beauty director discovers a bevy of new launches across skincare, hair care, fragrance and make-up – here are the ones she keeps going back to.
The year 2024 has been off to a strong start in beauty. We’ve seen the ‘kitty cut’ trend dominate the haircut world, the arrival of ectoin skincare and celebrities bringing some incredible beauty looks to the red carpet. Then, to top it all off, an array of new and innovative formulas has seen me level up my beauty arsenal.
As usual, January saw the beauty industry hone in on skincare with new ingredients, textures and formulas. But make-up and haircare saw brilliant products hit the shelves, too. Here, I run through the new products I tried, tested and loved this month.
CeraVe Advanced Repair Ointment
You’ll very likely be familiar with this navy bottle – but if you somehow missed it all over your TikTok feed, allow me to introduce it. A cult product for CeraVe over in the US (and consequently, the most requested launch from UK-based fans), this ointment is packed with ceramides and fatty acids to repair, restore and nourish skin, even if it’s irritated.
Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Hollywood Beauty Icon Lipstick
Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are some of the absolute best, IMO, and to kick off the year, the brand has expanded its red and pink ranges. There are five new satin pinks in its K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula and five new matte reds in its Matte Revolution formula. My favourites? Rose to Fame (pictured above) and Mark of a Kiss.

Fresh Lotus AHA Gentle Resurfacing Serum
With my wedding in a couple of months, I’ve really been honing in on my skincare routine, and this product has quickly earned a permanent spot. It contains citric and glycolic acids that buff away dull, dead skin, while prickly pear extract helps to even out my complexion.

Diptyque Fleur de Peau Cleansing Hand and Body Gel
Let me start by saying Diptyque’s Fleur de Peau is quite possibly my favourite scent of all time. So when I saw the brand had expanded the musk, iris, ambrette and pink peppercorn fragrance into other products, I was all in. After the original eau de parfum, my favourite is this hand wash because, well, there’s not much that feels more luxurious than fancy hand soap, right?

Rhode Pineapple Refresh The Daily Cleanser
A combination of polyglutamic acid, green tea extract and pineapple enzyme work together to not only shift away make-up and dirt, but also leave skin feeling incredibly smooth.

Jones Road The Neutralizer Pencil
As somebody who is self-conscious about the dark circles under their eyes and chooses to cover them, I was excited to see make-up legend Bobbi Brown had created this range of pencils for her brand Jones Road. Simply (gently) scribble the pencil where you’d like to cancel out dark circles or hyperpigmentation and blend it in with the warmth of your fingers.
Gisou Hair Perfume Wild Rose
If you love the idea of leaving a trail of perfume wafting behind you as you walk, you need to get into hair perfume. This particular one is a limited-edition scent from honey hair brand Gisou. It contains notes of sweet rose, honey and vanilla that fill the air every time your hair moves.
