From a skin-boosting moisturiser to a Dishoom-inspired handwash, 13 new products our beauty director loved in February

Each month, Stylist’s beauty director discovers an array of new launches across skincare, hair care, fragrance and make-up – here are the ones she keeps going back to.
While January beauty launches tend to focus on great skincare, February saw a beauty industry boom of exciting, innovative and efficacious formulas across hair, make-up, fragrance, body care and nails.
Alongside ground-breaking ceramide technology that helps your moisturiser penetrate even deeper, the beauty shelves were graced with clever clarifying shampoos, effective SPFs, high quality concealers and a brilliant brow pen.
It was also the month of epic collaborations, seeing beauty and fashion legends Pat McGrath and Marc Jacobs team up, Ayurvedic brand Mauli Rituals collaborate with iconic eatery Dishoom and Nails Inc team up with none other than… McDonald’s.
Here, I run through the products that caught my eye, thanks to their innovative approach, special formula or for simply bringing a touch of fun back into my routine.
Best beauty products that launched in February
Simple Repairing Rich Cream Face Moisturiser with 22% Ceramide Boosters and Pro-Vitamin B
Harnessing the impressive skin barrier benefits of ceramides, this innovative moisturiser contains 22% ceramide boosters to help make skin more resilient. Plus, it penetrates much deeper (up to 10 skin layers, in case you wondered) for intensely deep and nourishing hydration.
Pat McGrath x Marc Jacobs MatteTrance Lipstick Marc Jacobs Edition
Yep, you read that right. Beauty legend Pat McGrath has teamed up with fashion icon Marc Jacobs to create this beauty keepsake. The fun case was created to commemorate the fashion designer’s 40th anniversary in fashion, and inside, you’ll find the Mattetrance Lipstick in an incredibly punchy red.
Shop Pat McGrath x Marc Jacobs MatteTrance Lipstick Marc Jacobs Edition at Pat McGrath Labs, £37
Mauli Rituals x Dishoom Hand & Body Wash
Ayurvedic beauty brand Mauli Rituals has teamed up with popular London eatery Dishoom to create this hand and body wash. Inspired by the cleansing traditions in India, it’s scented with bergamot, jasmine and sandalwood for a gentle, earthy scent that lingers.
Shop Mauli Rituals x Dishoom Hand & Body Wash at Mauli Rituals, £26
Malin + Goetz Bergamot Supercandle
Malin + Goetz has brought back its limited-edition three-wick (and very large) super candle, this time in its bestselling scent: bergamot. Once lit, you’ll get notes of bergamot, bell pepper, grapefruit, ginger, cardamom, sandalwood and musk, forming the perfect balance of citrus and spice.
Shop Malin + Goetz Bergamot Super Candle at Liberty London, £159
Skin Rocks The Gentle Acid
Caroline Hirons has launched the newest addition to her popular Skin Rocks line-up, and we’re pleased to report it involves acids. Alongside The Control Acid sits this one, The Gentle Acid. As the name suggests, it’s an exfoliating toner that works to even skin texture and reduce hyperpigmentation, without being too harsh or irritating skin.
Living Proof Detox Shampoo
Day to day, our scalps are exposed to pollution, excess oil, heavy metals and product build-up, so clarifying shampoos are becoming an increasingly common shower caddy addition. Living Proof’s new formula works to shift build-up and deliver a thorough scalp cleanse without leaving it stripped or irritated. Use it once a week in place of your regular shampoo and you’ll notice a difference.
Mugler Alien Hypersense Eau de Parfum
The newest addition to Mugler’s iconic Alien collection, Alien Hypersense Eau de Parfum contains notes of green mandarin, juicy pear accord, jasmine sambac and cashmeran for a floral yet musky scent.
Shop Mugler Alien Hypersense Eau de Parfum at Mugler, £95 for 60ml
Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Brightening Fluid Invisible
Mark my words: this SPF will be everywhere in the summer. Already a beauty journo favourite, this clever formula boasts high protection SPF50+, skin-boosting peptides, hydrating hyaluronic acid and brightening vitamin C. Plus, the lightweight formula sits nicely under make-up and doesn’t leave a white cast.
Shop Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Brightening Fluid Invisible at Boots, £12.99
Blink Brow Bar Eyebrow Pen
I love a strong, defined eyebrow, but it can be tricky toeing the line between sculpted and blocky. That’s where this handy eyebrow pen comes in. It has three ultra-fine tips that dispense pigment to resemble hair-like strokes for a natural finish.
Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Awakening Concealer
As somebody who chooses to cover their undereye circles, concealer is an important part of my make-up routine, and this one is great. It provides buildable coverage, doesn’t crease and leaves skin looking brighter. A tip: let it sit on your skin for a while before you blend it out.
Shop Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Awakening Concealer at Sephora, £28
Nails Inc x McDonald's Fries Nail Polish and Sticker Set
Easily the most fun beauty collab I’ve seen in a long time, this Nails Inc set includes a perfect fries-box red and fast-food inspired nail stickers featuring burgers, fries, milkshakes and even the golden arches.
Shop Nails Inc x McDonald’s Fries Nail Polish and Sticker Set at Nail’s Inc, £8.99
Victoria Beckham Beauty Daily Cleansing Protocol
After the success of its popular Rejuvenating Power Serum, Victoria Beckham Beauty is back with another foray into skincare. This time, the brand has teamed up with Victoria Beckham’s aesthetician, Melanie Grant, to create a facial-worthy cleanse that adds a step of luxury to your routine.
Shop Victoria Beckham Beauty Daily Cleansing Protocol at Victoria Beckham Beauty, £100 for both
