The eco-friendly beauty packaging you need to look out for

In the war against plastic, more and more brands are turning to eco-friendly alternatives for beauty packaging.

Of late, we’ve been lost in a flood of aluminium-packaged beauty products on Instagram. As well as being highly recyclable and more sustainable than single-use plastics, the metal tubes - reminiscent of artists’ paint - look even more beautiful when you start squeezing out the product. Something which surely prompted the designers behind the cornflower-blue cult sell-out Jet Lag Mask to choose aluminium packaging. Win-win.

Windle & Moodie Invisible Day & Night Cream

Massage into thirsty hair to quench parched ends. The aluminium tube is the first part of your “sensory journey”, says Windle & Moodie founder Paul Windle.

The toast of Instagram for its packaging alone, this cream’s vegan multitasking formula can be used as a hydrating mask, a primer or an overnight treatment.

Buly 1803 Opiat Dentaire Toothpaste

Made with French spring water, this toothpaste protects your pearly whites and soothes throats. There are three flavours. We love mint and cucumber.

& Other Stories Fleur de Mimosa Mini Hand Cream

Macadamia seed oil, shea butter and almond oil smooth your hands, while the aluminium tube is tough enough to survive in your bag.
