Enter the latest hack from make-up artist Jamie Genevieve, who has coined a new technique called ‘base bronzing’. By switching up the way you apply your base make-up, you can achieve a natural-looking, healthy glow that’s perfect for summer – even if it’s cloudy outside.

What is ‘base bronzing’?

“Base bronzing is the concept of creating a flawless base with just your primer, cream bronzer and concealer,” Genevieve tells Stylist. “Using your favourite brush or sponge, you bronze all over the face with your Modern Radiance Cream Bronzer, focusing on the high points, then follow with a concealer to add coverage where needed.”

“By using liquids and cream-based products, you’re creating a lightweight, hydrating face of make-up that leaves a flawless, natural finish. It’s super quick and easy to do, so perfect for when you’re in a rush or on a hot summer’s day.

“I personally love a sponge for applying the cream bronzer because it gives an even and blended finish with zero effort. It’s a lot more subtle than the brush that needs blending.”
