ASOS launches 46-item make-up range and it has the prettiest packaging

ASOS has been treating us pretty well recently, haven’t they? Granting our sartorial wishes and having them delivered to our door, sometimes within hours, and they recently even launched a visual search tool to make finding our dream outfits easier than ever.

But if you thought that was good, nothing can prepare you for their latest offering. It seems the makeup gods have been smiling down upon us, because the online shopping favourite has now announced the launch of their own cosmetics range, Face and Body.

And let us tell you, it looks good. The 46-piece collection is a treasure trove of head-turning metallics, rich pigments and more highlighter than your cheek bones can handle.

What’s more, the range claims to want to inspire a focus on enhancing ourselves internally, with an empowering message for “20-somethings to confidently be themselves, however they choose to do so” powering its creation.

Full details are yet to be revealed, but so far we know that catering for our pouts will be a selection of lip liners, matte lipsticks and liquid lip glosses. Which, if the brand’s trend-setting clothing collections are anything to go by, have got us imagining some lust-worthy colour palettes. The range will also include eye liners, eye shadows, highlighters and cheek colours to make sure no part of your face feels neglected.

Referring to their vision for the products, ASOS have described the face and body as a “a canvas, an adventure in individual self-expression, an opportunity to experiment and play”, calling on cosmetics fans to let loose and enjoy makeup for the creative outlet it can be, a message we can all get behind.

Watch: How to hide a bad night's sleep

To continue the theme of looking further than skin deep, each product has been named after a feeling or mood, with shades titled Overqualified, Decisive and Uncompromising. It’s often said that a swipe of our favourite lipstick can adjust our mood, making us feel more confident and ready to face the world, so maybe patting on a bit of Decisive will give us a nudge when we’re feeling anything but.

The collection will be available from mid-September (not long!) and starts at £5 for a liner, reaching £10 at the top end of the scale for finishing powder, which we must say feels very easy on our millennial pockets.

Of course we’re sad to see the summer sun fade away (no regrets over saying goodbye to sweaty tube face though), but if this is what Autumn’s got in store for us, roll on September. Besides, have you seen the packaging?
