A serious source of inspiration for pretty much everything, it’s Adele’s nails we’ve currently got our eye on.
When it comes to iconic beauty looks, Adele is known for her signature smoky eye and big hair – both of which we are yet to perfect – but, recently, we’ve been taking note of her nails, too.
And if we can’t get somebody to fly us out to Las Vegas and surprise us with front-row tickets to her weekend residency, then we’ll have to make do with the next best thing: copying her manicure.
Adele generally opts for a solid black or neutral shade rather than anything too fancy, but she’s slowly starting to become a little more experimental (case in point: the gold 3D nails she wore for weekend 28 of her residency), and last weekend’s geometric French tips really caught our attention.
Speaking exclusively to Stylist, her manicurist Zola Ganzorigt (aka @nailsbyzola) explained that she wanted to create something that would complement the black and gold dress, designed by Nguyen Cong Tri, that Adele would be wearing on stage.
“We decided on this half-and-half geometric French manicure design, finished with a little gold charm,” she said.
“To create the look, I used OPI’s Pale To the Chief, £14.90, and Put It In Neutral, £14.90, on the base, followed by Black Onyx, £14.90, to create the tip,” Ganzorigt told us.
It’s simple, it’s classy and it’s effective – three things we’re always looking for in a manicure, and if it’s good enough for Adele then it’s definitely good enough for us to use as inspiration next time we’re down at our nail salon.
