Following in the footsteps of Rihanna, Lady Gaga is set to launch her own range of makeup, skincare and fragrance
Not content with just being an award-winning singer, talented actress and dedicated activist, Lady Gaga is adding Beauty Entrepreneur to her overflowing CV. Lady Gaga has filed an application to secure the trademark for a cosmetics company called ‘Haus Beauty’, The Blast reported.
According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s website, Lady Gaga’s company Ate My Heart Inc applied for the trademark back in February. The application details suggest that the singer has big plans for her new brand with the trademark covering - deep breath - foundations, blush, lipstick, lip gloss, eyeliner, eye shadow, perfume, facial cleansers, toner, scrubs, moisturiser, hand cream, masks, highlighter, bronzer, body oil, face wipes, sunscreen, self-tanner, nail polish.
Considering her chameleon approach to beauty and love of dramatic on-stage makeup, we predict the collection will be anything but subtle. Think highly pigmented formulas, vibrant hues and glitter by the bucketload.
While this is the first we’ve heard about her new venture, some eagle-eyed fans have pointed out that Lady Gaga may have been dropping hints about her beauty business via Instagram. A number of her recent makeup posts on the platform include the hashtags #haus, #hausofgaga, and #hauseditorials.
This isn’t the singer’s first foray with creating a beauty product. Lady Gaga previously collaborated with M·A·C for for their VIVA GLAM Campaign in Spring 2009. She created a range of limited-edition lipsticks and lipglosses alongside Cyndi Lauper to raise funds for the M∙A∙C AIDS Fund. Similarly, in 2012 she launched her first fragrance with Coty, a scent called Lady Gaga Fame.
