What does March 2024 have in store? Let astrology guide you through it with your star sign’s horoscope for the upcoming month.
Wait, what’s that? Can it really be actual sunlight after 4pm? Are those flowers lining the grass on the commute home? Is that the slightest rise in temperature? Might it be mild enough for – whisper it – a light jacket?
The news is true: spring has arrived with the month of March, and that means big things. What can we expect from this wonderful time of year? We can look to astrology to find out. Ahead, you’ll find your star sign’s specific horoscope for the next few weeks, but first, let’s get a general overview of what the planets and stars are up to in March.
In the first week of the month, expect some intense emotions, ending with Mercury entering Aries. That planetary shift will give is a boost in our actions and words. We’ll find ourselves leading with passion and motivation, and no longer holding back what we really think. Fun!
In week two there’s another new moon, but this time in Pisces. Tune into your intuition at this time. If exciting new opportunities arise and they feel right, take them. Trust your gut. On the next day, Venus will be in Pisces, which will add to this desire to make our wildest dreams come true.
On 17 March, there will be a Neptune cazimi (when the sun is in exact conjunction to Neptune), which might bring up some emotional conflict. Be prepared for some messages from your subconscious. After that we’ll have the spring equinox on the 20th, which will get us ready to try new things and make some big changes.
Finally, on 25 March, there’s a lunar eclipse in Libra. Expect deep-rooted passions to come to the forefront, but also the realisation that there are some things you need to let go. This is a time to figure out what you really want instead of just mindlessly going with the flow.
An interesting time ahead, right? Read on for your star sign’s specific forecast for this month.
Aries
21 March to 19 April
Aries, the beginning of the month is going to be interesting. You’ll come up against opportunities to resolve some deep-rooted issues. Resist the urge to lean into criticising yourself too harshly or make rash changes. Now’s not the time for a radical overhaul, but more of an introspective look at the patterns of thought that have been holding you back.
The new moon in Pisces (10 March) will amplify this. You might experience a swell of self-doubt and disillusionment – just hold tight and focus on grounding yourself through meditation and other self-actualising activities. Don’t let other people’s noise disrupt this process. In the second half of the month, you’ll find other people’s thoughts difficult to shake; but stay strong.
You’ll notice the fog beginning to lift towards the end of the month as we enter Aries season (happy birthday to any March Aries!). It’s your solar return this year, so you’ll experience a big hit of celebratory energy. Enjoy it.
Taurus
20 April to 20 May
You’ve got a real tendency to stay in your comfort zone, always choosing the ‘safe’ option. We get it; you’ve been burned before. But sometimes you do need to follow that fire within rather than trying to snuff it out with speed. This month, the stars will align to deliver a eureka moment… if you do your part by trying something different. It’ll feel awkward at first, but push through – the discomfort will be well worth it.
In the second half of the month, look forward to a burst of creativity. Taurus, give yourself permission to go for it. Keep your mind open and experiment while your motivation is in full flow.
Gemini
21 May to 20 June
Ooh. Brace yourself for a spat – the stars are spelling trouble in your friendships – and keep a cool head so it doesn’t spin out of control. Your feelings are valid, but you might be triggered by something deeper. Make some space to talk it out with the people in your circle. You may be surprised by how understanding they are. This is an energy for compromise, so be sure to utilise this for your benefit.
At the tail end of March, you’ll feel a renewed focus on your career and overall legacy coupled with a flood of creative ideas. Exciting! Don’t close yourself off to ideas that might take a lot of time and effort. They could end up being super-fulfilling.
Cancer
21 June to 22 July
Look, we know you’re a homebody. It’s warm and cosy in there… why go outside? But the fact is there are some times when you need to put yourself out there, especially in moments when you deserve recognition or have something important to express. This isn’t your happy space, but test it out. Think of this challenge as an opportunity to get more comfortable. Some exciting career opportunities could come your way if you do.
There’s the chance of new travel and education opportunities, too. Take advantage of them to go on a journey of self-discovery. You’ll find your mind buzzing with fresh ideas, but keep space for new connections. You’ll notice a theme this month, which is to let go of what makes you comfortable and embrace all new things.

Leo
23 July to 22 August
You’ve got an itch to run away from it all. You’re feeling cramped in your current space (this might be literally or in a more figurative sense) and want change. Hold tight, Leo. Clarity is on its way, along with fresh opportunities, and you’ll get the transformation you’re craving. Just keep charging forward as planned, even if it’s feeling tough, and remember that small actions can have a big impact.
The stars point to an exciting prospect career-wise for you this month. It could be a promotion or it might be something smaller but just as exciting, such as a mentoring opportunity or a project you can really dig your teeth into.
At the end of the month, the Libra eclipse will help Leos usher out old ways of thinking that no longer serve you. This is a time of learning and letting go. That’s what will give you the freedom you’re craving.
Virgo
23 August to 22 September
Virgo, you have a real tendency to put other people’s needs above your own. You also find it very tricky to ask for help when you need it. This month, you’ll dig into why this is – what’s really going on there? Once that self-awareness lands, you’ll be ready to start opening up. Once you do, it’ll be like you’ve put out a beacon to others. Don’t be surprised if someone finally has the guts to tell you how they feel, whether that’s in a romantic sense or a friend who wants to make your relationship better.
You might feel a slight vulnerability hangover mid-month. Don’t let this scare you back into your old ways. The more you heal, the more you’ll realise how asking for the support you need makes you stronger. In 2024, we’re all about close bonds with people who truly understand the real us.
Libra
23 September to 22 October
Your theme this month: relationship healing. You’ve been experiencing some anxiety around certain relationships recently, and it’s time to address that. Get ready to get deep. Once you do, you’ll clear the way for honest communication, which can only make your relationships better.
There will be a moment this month when you’ll feel apprehensive. It’s going to be uncomfortable, especially when it comes to how your daily routine affects how you are seen. Maybe certain bad habits don’t put you in the best light or you want to change your personal schedule so you can have more opportunities at work. Regardless of what it is, you are becoming motivated to make some changes. This may take some brainstorming, so don’t be afraid to rope in some extra help from the people around you.
Scorpio
23 October to 21 November
It’s time for you to give your habits a big shake-up. Whether you’ve lacked routine or have become too rigid, March is the month to address where you’re going wrong and sort things out for the better. It’s all about balance. If you’re honest with yourself, you know that balance has been off recently. Now’s the time to address that… and sort it out.
Bring in the wisdom of others when it comes to how to go about this. Don’t be too proud to seek support – do whatever you need in order to heal and grow.
The stars point to an exciting new opportunity this month; something that will bring you real joy. Maybe a new creative hobby? Make sure you make time for this, juggling your schedule accordingly. Your happiness is worth investing energy in. Let loose a little and give yourself permission to have fun – when you do, you’ll notice everything else falls into place.

Sagittarius
22 November to 21 December
Hmm. Have you been treating yourself a little harshly? Criticising yourself? Judging yourself for having fun? March is the month to quit this. Say no more to self-punishment for having fun or taking things easy. Forgive yourself and treat yourself more like a friend. Remember that having fun or doing nothing is not time wasted, but an essential part of being alive.
Allow yourself to pursue a passion this month, too. Approaching this with intentionality can lead to big things, but have patience. Remember this is a marathon, not a sprint. There’s been some conflict within you around the theme of self-expression. You’ve resisted going deeper and facing the tough stuff. Perhaps in March you can call in some support to help you work through it – that’s how you can make space to have more fun and achieve emotional freedom.
Capricorn
22 December to 19 January
Your mind has been active recently, especially when it comes to the world around you. When March hits, you’ll notice this focus shifts to become more about you. Prepare to get introspective: zero in on past wounds and work out how to heal in order to move forward. Reconnecting with close ones can help you do this.
Throughout the month you might have some trouble with communication, blurting out things you perhaps didn’t intend to say quite so directly. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Sometimes it’s that uncomfortable honesty that’s needed to move things to a better place. If the reaction isn’t great, the route is simple: pause, breathe and be considerate of how others might be feeling. This is how you’ll reach a resolution.
Aquarius
20 January to 18 February
OK, get ready to hear something you might not like… you’ve been a little close-minded recently. It’s not your intention, we know, but you’ve swayed into stubbornness, stomping out fresh ideas before they have a chance to breathe. You’re just being realistic, we hear you say, but actually you might have tipped into pessimism. Sorry.
Like we said, this isn’t a deliberate action with bad intentions. There’s some sort of insecurity there, perhaps something connected to your struggle to be heard. That can lead you to take a stand a little too firmly. This month, consider this: you don’t want to make anyone feel as unheard and dismissed as you have previously been, right? You don’t have to agree with everyone, but work on expressing your concerns while remaining encouraging.
Pursue this line of thought and you’ll have a moment of clarity that makes you want to make some radical changes around your self-worth. You’re tired of questioning yourself and living in self-doubt. The lunar eclipse will be a great time to reflect on this theme, delivering energy to make the necessary changes to your way of thinking. Negativity is out.
Pisces
19 February to 20 March
You’re feeling a disconnect when it comes to your self-worth, and you want to dig deeper into why. You might discover some holes that need to be patched with self-love and confidence. Allow yourself to do this, as you’re getting a cosmic nudge towards this exploration. Dig deep, then translate that into small changes for an exciting month ahead.
As self-assurance starts to seep into your consciousness you’ll notice that you embody the Neptunian superpower: enigmatic, attractive, magical, fairy-like energy. You’ll notice people picking up on that vibe and being attracted to it. Lean into that power. You have so much to offer the world; believe it and embrace it. Towards the end of the month, that’ll start to sink in. You don’t need validation from anyone else but yourself.
