Anyone else feel like 2024 is racing by? We’re already in July, halfway through the year, and it’s throwing us. Perhaps it’s throwing you, too? Don’t stress, astrology is here to make sense of the next few weeks, at least, with your star sign’s horoscope for the month ahead. But before we get into the specifics, let’s take an overview of July. 

On the 2nd of the month, Mercury will enter Leo, making our communication larger than life. On the same day, Neptune will be stationed retrograde. This can make communication go a bit… off. Keep an eye out for exaggeration and take people’s words with a pinch of salt. 

On 5 July, the moon is at home in Cancer, which will have us all in tune with our emotions. We might feel a bit nosy, wanting to take a peek at how everyone else is feeling. Minding our business will serve us better. Let’s keep the focus on ourselves. 

With Venus entering Leo on the 11th, the things we want and desire will be big, and we’ll be ready to ask for them all when Mars enters Gemini mid-month. We’ll be ready to verbalise what we want and to charm people with passion. 

On the 21st, we’ll have a second Capricorn full moon, but unlike last month, this one will bring a chaotic energy, bringing in dynamic change. Be ready for it. After that, the sun enters Leo, which is where it is at home, and we’ll all experience a deep desire to express ourselves to get what we deserve. 21 March to 19 April

Communication will be important this month as you will be pushed to express your inner self creatively through art, music or any other hobby/interest. There is a lot to unpack in your subconscious mind – so much so that you’ll need to take a more abstract approach to understanding this side of yourself. As you peel the onion that is your emotional life, you will get to the root of certain issues and get to know yourself on a deeper level. 

Mid-month, love is in the air. Add some romance to your life, but keep an eye out for getting too swept up by all the excitement. Ask yourself: is this person really right for you or are you just craving connection?

When the sun enters Leo, you’ll feel more confident in how you express yourself romantically, creatively and in all other ways. You’ll be inspired to kick off new habits and routines towards the end of the month, but you might struggle to stick with them. Remember: you have control only over your actions. Recognise your autonomy and enjoy. 

20 April to 20 May

Keen for a home makeover? There’s an energy this month that will inspire you to make changes. You’re in need of something different, whether that’s a physical change of environment or a mix-up of how you approach your home life. Go for it, we say. That shift will help you feel more positive. 

With your planet, Venus, moving into Leo, there is a chance for you to show your love for the ones closest to you. You may get the itch to show your affection through buying gifts, and although that is appreciated, be watchful of your funds as your passion can be bigger than your pockets. Make some space for hangouts with loved ones this month, Taurus. Spending time with the people and in the spaces you are most comfortable with will be food for the soul in July.

21 May to 20 June

Prepare to be on fire this month, Gemini, as your planet, Mercury, moves into Leo. Your charisma, creativity and vision will be at an all time high, paving the way for some exciting opportunities. The flame will continue to hold strong mid month as you charm the people around you with your dynamic communication. With Mars entering your sign, you’ll be keen to go all in on big ideas and make them happen.

Towards the end of July, some doubt might set in. You’ll nitpick and a little voice in your head will question if you’re on the right track. Ignore it. Trust that your ideas are enough and your passions are worth pursuing. Keep going for it, Gemini. 

21 June to 22 July

Hmm. You’re in a period of questioning this month. You’ve always been a very moral person, Cancer, all about the values you’ve upheld throughout your life. But now… you’re starting to think them over. Do they still fit? This process might feel emotional and uncomfortable, but give yourself permission to grow and change. It’s OK!

Emotions will be heightened this month with both your solar return and a new moon in your sign. You may also feel some frustration. 23 July to 22 August

Through doing this you may realise there are aspects of your life that you haven’t seen the most clearly and you want to understand it better. With the new moon this month, this will be a great time to reflect.

You will notice quickly that doing this will make you feel so much lighter. With your confidence higher and brighter, you will be motivated to connect with others and possibly widen your network of friends in July. At work, this confidence might give you the courage to delegate some responsibilities to others and free your time up for other endeavours.

From 22 July onwards, the sun will be at home in your sign and everyone’s attention will turn to you. Go ahead and bask in it. Luck is on your side.

23 August to 22 September

You sometimes struggle to express yourself, Virgo. Vulnerability is scary, right? In July, you’ll realise how keeping yourself closed off is creating a block between you and the people you care about. You might be tempted to bolt – try not to. The key is not just making new friends, but fostering better, deeper connections with the people already in your life. 

Although you’ve been hurt by the people closest to you before, this wasn’t a lesson to hold everything in – it was a lesson to learn discernment. Reflecting on the relationships that worked and the ones that didn’t may help you find a personal system to use to vet people out. 

There are times when you don’t allow yourself to shine as you should. 23 September to 22 October

You have some aspirations that you’ve been wanting to chase so you’re making detailed plans to make it possible. There are responsibilities that have been in the way, and you’ve been nervous about juggling it all. This month, the stars are telling you that the key is delegation – you don’t need to do it all alone, Libra. Share the load and keep pushing for what you want.
