Read our web chat with the Law Society president

After a brief hiatus, our Lunchtime Masterclass series returned, and Stylist was delighted to welcome Linda Lee, president of the Law Society to our weekly web chat.

Top lawyer Linda is only the third woman to hold the prestigious title of President of the Law Society of England and Wales. She began her career whilst raising her three daughters, starting out in trade union law firm Hopkins in Mansfield, and progressing to AvMA, a charity promoting better patient safety and justice affected by medical accidents. A specialist in clinical negligence and coronial law, Linda lectures in both areas and undertakes pro representing bereaved families at inquest.

Linda is also heavily involved with Sound Off For Justice, The Law Society's campaign to fight the governments proposed cuts towards Legal Aid. The cuts could end up affecting key areas such as family law, social welfare and employment – and leave thousands of people unrepresented in court. Linda will be on hand to discuss the campaign and offer advice on how the cuts may affect you.
