TLC the polar bear way

Adorable snaps to brighten your day

It's not just our Havaiana flip-flops that have come out to enjoy the sunshine this weekend - across the Atlantic, polar bear cubs are at it too.

These heart-warming photos show a family of polar bears frolicking in the sunshine after emerging from their winter den in Churchill, on the shore of Canada's Hudson Bay.

"This was a dream come true for me to see them in their natural environment," said photographer Christine Haines. "The cubs are pure white when they emerge. The mother is very gentle with them. I was amazed at how gently she places her paw on them when she would roll around. Her paws our huge as you can see this in some of the photos."
