Virgin America sign 'the world's cutest dog'

Not content with being dubbed the ‘World’s Cutest Dog’, Boo the Pomeranian has a brand new role: pet ambassador for Virgin America.

Six-year-old cutie Boo, who shot to fame with his adorable YouTube video series, will become Virgin’s Official Pet Liaison, helping to raise awareness of the airline’s pet-friendly products and services.

With almost five million Facebook fans worldwide and an international book deal for Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog (written by owner J.H Lee), it seems its Boo’s global appeal that Virgin wanted to tap into.

“Boo is a well-travelled pup and has been able to offer us great advice on what products make pet travel easy,” said Virgin America spokeswoman Jill Fletcher.

“As a pet-friendly airline we want our guests - those on two legs and those on four - to have as comfortable and enjoyable experience as possible on Virgin America. [So] we're pretty thrilled to have Boo (AKA: the World's Cutest Dog), as our Official Pet Liaison,” she continued.

To celebrate his career taking off in a new direction, Boo treated his canine chum Buddy to a tour of San Francisco airport to try out Virgin’s facilities for themselves. Judging from the wagging tails and lolling tongues, we think it met with their approval.
