Shortlist Media launches new luxury digital title

Never Underdressed targets stylish women

Shortlist Media will launch the UK’s first freestanding digital glossy, it was announced today (4 April).

Never Underdressed is a new multi-platform fashion and beauty title aimed at affluent, stylish women that goes live from May.

The launch will combine high-gloss production values of monthly fashion magazines with the immediacy of the web, with shoots, video and up-to-the-minute news, galleries and features.

It's backed by a 14-strong editorial team of fashion and beauty experts led by Carrie Tyler, the former digital director of Elle.

"I’m delighted to be able to bring such a stellar team together to create what is the most ambitious digital fashion and beauty brand this country has ever seen," says Carrie. "We are committed to not only delivering the best and most original content but also to significantly out-perform the market on the number of stories we cover and the depth and breadth of our reporting."

The publisher at Never Underdressed is Lucy Alexander, former digital ad director at Elle, who said she was thrilled to bring innovative new advertising formats to "a beautiful, glossy, luxury fashion title for the digital era."

Ursula Lake, previously contributing fashion editor at The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine, has been appointed fashion director. Miranda Almond will take up the post of contributing fashion editor, having worked at British Vogue for eight years. Joanna McGarry, former beauty director at Stylist magazine, is now Never Underdressed's beauty director.
